Welcome to the companion website for the book Beginning HTML with CSS and XHTML: Modern Guide and Reference, by David Schultz and Craig Cook, published by Apress in June of 2007. Here you can learn a bit more about the book, download the code examples, view the completed “Spaghetti & Cruft” example site from Chapter 11, and discover a few bits and pieces that didn’t make it into the book.

And it’s done. I just received five shining copies on my doorstep. And I do mean shining. Nothing picks up the light – and fingerprints – quite like gloss black. I suspect the book will be arriving on shelves momentarily, if it isn’t there already. If your local bookstore doesn’t have it in stock, ask for it! That’s how they know which demands need to be supplied. Amazon et. al. should also be shipping pre-orders as we speak, with new orders shipped according to whatever shipping options you choose at purchase.

The site has finally launched! From the moment I started working on the book I’d intended to put together a companion site, but what with all my other authorly duties, the design and assembly of this site got put off until the end. But the book is winding its way through the presses as we speak, so I’ve finally found the time to get this thing cobbled together and hurled onto the web.
